My research focuses on nanofabrication and low temperature electronic measurement of devices. I have developed new fabrication processes that allow devices to be produced in large numbers as well as developed feedback controlled electromigration techniques for the production of electrodes suitable for the incorporation of single molecules.

Alex Gee received his PhD in Physics from the University of Hull, UK working on single molecule spin crossover devices. During this work he was awarded a 2-month eCost scientific mission (STSM) to work with the Nanospin group at Aalto University, Finland. Here he utilized state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities to develop novel nanofabrication techniques. He joined the Bogani group in September 2020 investigating the quantum transport of magnetic molecules. Prior to this he was a member of the Kemp Nanogroup where he developed new types of optically tunable memristor devices based on CMOS compatible processes.
